Okay, it’s Day 5 and I am starting to wonder if I can do this for 25 more days. Certainly coming up with things to be thankful for is not a problem, it’s sitting down to write each day. To be sure, I am overthinking it. Guilty. Jacob often calls me an “over-explainer”—overthinking fits in there too, y’all.
- Today I am thankful for sleeping in.
- I am thankful for days to hang out at home and catch up on stuff and make soup and watch Law and Order reruns.
- I am thankful for leisurely being able to walk around Lowe’s with Emma. And maybe Kohl’s or Belk…
It’s Saturday and that means we don’t have to be anywhere at any certain time. No alarms going off—only to hit snooze 14 times. The kids are big enough to wake up on their own and get some cereal and entertain themselves. We can get going when we get ready. Yeah, it’s nice.
I can do a little laundry. Go look at some awesome purple paint for Emma’s room, which she she wants to spruce up a little. Hang out with the fam. Relax. No expectations. No rushing. No hurry.
